MVL ♛ Chile, MVL Finale: The Looks

So it’s done. The competition ended. I didn’t win but it’s alright 🙂

I made a few new friends and I challenged myself. So all is good !

But, before putting it behind me, I wanted to close this chapter with 1 last post: MVL Finale Gala looks. And they are three. I will write a little about each one here:

1. Swimwear

We were given a bikini or one-piece by PupleMoon, and we had to style it as we saw fitting. I wanted mine to be sweet. That was my aim, hence the pink and coral colors and the basket with flowers and on my hair.

2. National Costume

As some of you know, I’m a Chilean girl. So this look got me very very excited. You know, I was getting to represent my very own country in national wear.

This beautiful outfit was created by Donatela Couturier of Modern Couture. It’s a wonderful dress inspired by the original inhabitants of Chile, the Mapuche. They are calm and hard working people, honest and humble but take deep pride in their history. I wanted to pay them homage tonight because they are part of a very rich culture. Donatela highlighted their elegance in black, with a textured colored band on the waist and at the bottom of the skirt. Also, a cape adorned with flowers on the shoulders in red and white matching the ones on the tiara, reminiscing of Chile’s national colors and multiple gold jewels on the necklace and earrings embellish this outfit. Finally, keeping me company is Chile’s national bird, the Condor, ready to take flight for the Andes. This is a simple outfit but it stands out on the details and jewelry, just like the Mapuche have dressed for thousands of years.

3. Gown

This gown was created for my by the talented  designer Beatrice Serenditipy, one half of the amazing Ghee duo. It’s a beautiful dress with an ombré pink and purple effect, with shiny details on its beading. With a tight silhouette, it ends with a mermaid cut and flexi details of the same color to give it an elegant touch. On the back, a gorgeous cleavage that shows off some skin. This dress is 100% original and Bea didn’t copy any RL designer. Bea knows me quite well, and she knows I love shiny shimmery things. When she showed me my gown, she said, I thought of you and had to make the gown pink, and she was right. She really translated who I am into this dreamy gown. Truly a femmenine, sensual and colorful gown, like me 🙂
